OH MY GOD, FINALLY!!! Why are they just now talking about the mark? Did Boruto think that it was normal? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!

It's a long series. It's filled with side stories, character development, filler, and plenty of content. You can't expect them to immediately jump into the big questions.

But to make this answer more satisfying. Sasuke knows about the mark but told Boruto not to talk about it to anyone. To keep it a secret for now and has been doing some research into the subject in his own spare time. Boruto has paid it mind but it's basically done nothing until now. So he hasn't done anything about it.

You also gotta figure that messing with it might cause something bad to happen. It might hurt Boruto or worse, it might get the attention of the enemy somehow as it seems to have some connection. So now that we're getting to a point we can better understand it. I think it's fine it took this long. :)
